Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are one of those comfort foods—carbs, sugar, melted chocolate. They’re kind of healthy because they have oatmeal, right?
Get the smell of Home Sweet Home by letting the sweet smell of homemade cookies fill the air. This recipe contains cinnamon and cloves and will add that autumn smell to the air when baking.
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies pair nicely with vanilla ice cream and a hot cup of black tea, like an English Breakfast tea.

Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Cream the butter, cane sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add to liquid. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
